On Wednesday, May 21st ADM had our very own fire fighter, Tim Daily (Father of Nora Daily), come into the school to talk about what he does. The students were able to learn about how to become a fire fighter, what a firefighter does and what to do in case of a fire. Tim was also a great teacher for the students! He gave us a brief history about firefighting and what the different symbols and badges on his uniforms mean.

He then was kind enough to show the students how he puts on his gear!
For some students this was a bit scary, especially when he put on his oxygen mask, but he was able to quickly take it off and show them he was still just a dad that they see in school.

He finally had the children ask questions and gave each child a coloring book about the things we talked about. A valuable outcome of this visit was the children got to see how to prepare for a fire in a safe setting with tips they can remember.
